April Allegory Design Team Reveal
The color palette that Andrew sent to me was mostly greens all blending very well with one another, the last two submissions have been a bracelet and necklace and I wanted to add some earrings to my collection. I used some square seed beads in a translucent green, with some Vintage white glass beads, Czech glass leaves an some Sari Silk from Miss Fickle Media.
Please check out the other members of the Allegory Gallery Design Team's blogs and show them some love!
FTC disclaimer: Some beads in this post were provided for free in return for promotional consideration.
I am part of a really exiting team of designers - the Allegory Gallery Design Team.
Every month from February 2012 - January 2013, we all blog about pieces
of jewellery we have designed using materials from Allegory Gallery. We
are able to combine these materials with those from our own stashes, to
create new designs every month. Andrew Thornton sent each member of the team an exciting package of goodies, from his new Gallery and Boutique in Legonier, Pennsylvania. You can check them out on facebook too.

Andrea's Race
On Sunday I participated in the Tour de Airdrie, it is a run where all the proceeds of the race go to raise awareness for domestic violence in our Community and surrounding areas. After our friend was tragically taken from us there was the need to do something in order to honor her memory. A friend approached the organizing committee of this race to see if we could have the name changed and if we could work with them because the tragedy that we encountered so did our community and our lovely friend affected many peoples lives. We weren't able to change the name of the race but the committee agreed that we could designate a special starting time for all those who wished to run in Andrea's memory. We thought that it would be great to have some t-shirts made to let everyone know who and what we were running for in the Tour de Airdrie. At first we thought we would just order t-shirts for our families but interest was so high that we ending up purchasing 144 t-shirts and selling them all. It was so wonderful to see the sea of purple yesterday and all of the wonderful people that were running for our wonderful friend. Here is our group after the race!!

Wrapped, Stacked & Layered Challenge
Today is the day, that 80 of us will be revealing our Wrapped, Stacked & Layered bracelets!! Our lovely host for this blog hop is Tracey Statler, she has such wonderful inspiration for bracelets and she has a beautiful blog to boot!! Thank you so much Tracey for hosting this wonderful challenge.
I love bracelets one of my mandatory accessories, I have been dabbling in creating layered bracelets and I often wear them myself. I love that you can achieve different textures, materials and colors by crating this effect. I was behind the eight ball for this challenge and thought I wouldn't get something done so two of the pieces I created earlier and added my third piece. The leather bracelet includes art beads from Artisan Beads Plus, Gaea and Mamacita Beadworks, the second bracelet has silk from Marsha Neal Studio, blue impression jasper and faceted Czech glass. The third bracelet that wraps double around a wrist is made from Irish wax linen and ivory bone beads.
Please share some love with the other participates!!! Have a fantastic Saturday, I can't wait to see what everyone else has created!!

March Allegory Design Team
A little late but here is my piece that I designed for the Allegory Gallery. I used some beautiful Lucite rounds, a Czech glass square, some lovely cream seed beads accented with antique copper chain and charms. All of these lovely beads can been found in Andrew's gallery. I have been thinking alot about my designs and this piece is a move toward using a smattering of different elements and I wasn't comfortable at first but I like the eclectic feel that has come from this design.
