6th Bead Soup Blog Party - 3rd reveal

Welcome to the 3rd reveal of the 6th Bead Soup Blog Party!!  You have arrived at Copper Penny Designs and my wonderful partner for this reveal was Marta Kaczerowska, uhuhu from Poland.  Marta sent me a mix of yellow and navy blue for my bead soup.

I didn't have any specific ideas in mind but my Bohemian Inspired Jewelry book showed up and I just had to make these cute little earrings.  I love them, they are so me, I have been wearing them a lot.  Combining my love of copper with yellow.

I made another pair of earrings from Bohemian Inspired Jewelry.  I really like how they turned out and I think they will be perfect for the fall and they are so light, you can barely feel them in your ears.  They are used with two different sizes of blue pearl.  Love this gemstone, is glitters and shines so beautifully.

My next piece was a bracelet, Marta sent me some thicker cording which I believe is hemp.  I put together a multi-strand bracelet that is very simple with gunmetal findings.  The lampwork bead is from Glassbead Art, my first bead soup partner Maryse Thillen.

My second bracelet combined seed beads and Sodalite, with a TheaToo button.  I think these are so adorable.

I tackled a necklace, and wanted to combine several elements from the soup that Marta sent me.  I love the cylinder crocheted bead that Marta sent and wanted to make it the focal of the necklace.

My last piece is probably my favorite piece that I created.  This bracelet's inspiration comes from Songbeads, Rebecca Anderson, I received some beads from Rebecca a little while back and I thought they would make a beautiful bracelet and I used her pattern.  The bracelet uses the lovely clasp that Marta sent me.

This was the most productive bead soup for me and I have very few beads left from what Marta sent me and I was not working under the wire, I have had most of these pieces done for several weeks.

Thank you so much to Marta for being such a great partner, please check out what Marta has made with her soup Uhuhu.  A huge THANK YOU to Lori Anderson for putting this great soup on her tireless work, keeping us all organized is so appreciated.

Please check out the rest of the participates!

  1. You had a real challenge, Penny, with a limited palette in your soup, but you rocked it with all those UK and Euro add-ons! I am wowed by each piece you created, but I have to pick your first bracelet, with the large cord, as particularly inspiring to me. I recently bought similar cording for an ABS challenge. I have a lot left, so I am definitely going to keep creating now that I have seen your design!

  2. I love all your pieces Penny. Shows such a wide variety of design elements. I love the simplicity of the hemp bracelet against the sodalite and seed bead more elegant style. I love the last bracelet though - wow! You really knocked that one out of the park. My favorite.
